Randolph Park Aquatics Director

Pulaski County Randolph Park is seeking an Aquatics Director to oversee the pool facility. This includes hiring, training and supervision of lifeguards and pool attendants, operation of pool chemistry and equipment, ensuring compliance with park rules and regulations by pool patrons and maintenance of the entire pool facility. Candidates must have completed graduation from high school and be at least 18 years of age. The following certifications are required: Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or a certified Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO), First Aid and CPR. Previous management of a pool facility is preferred.

This is a seasonal position beginning in May thru September. The hourly rate for this position is between $11-$14 and is commensurate upon education and experience.

Deputy Sheriff

Applications are now being accepted for the position of Deputy Sheriff with the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid Virginia driver’s license. Prefer applicants with State Law Enforcement Certification and two years of college credits. Extensive background investigation and medical examination is required. Applicants must have 20/20 corrected vision and have proportionate height and weight. Preference will be give to applicants who are a resident of Pulaski County.

Salary range is $36,000-$57,737, based upon education and experience with a 4.56% increase after a one year successful probationary period. Seeking a qualified candidate as a probation officer with duties that include: conducting assessments on adult offenders referred by the courts and developing supervision and case plans accordingly based on the assessments and court orders while implementing and monitoring community corrections plans according to established standards, policies and procedures.

A Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, psychology, or a related field is required and experience in case management, counseling or in a criminal justice agency preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. The pay band for this position is $32,000 - $36,000.

Facilities Manager

Responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of County buildings; interior and exterior; commercial and industrial. Performs/directs tasks requiring highly technical skills in the repair, maintenance and preventative maintenance of Pulaski County buildings and grounds; electrical, mechanical, HVAC and plumbing needs. Provides supervision and direction to subordinate employees.

High School Diploma or equivalent supplemented by at least two of the following (preferred but not required): Commercial and/or Industrial building maintenance experience, certification from accredited trade or technical school in electricity, HVAC or related field, five years experience in commercial or industrial building maintenance, EPA Refrigerant Certification, and/or Associates Degree in mechanical, electrical, or construction management field.

Pulaski County is now accepting applications for a part-time Juvenile Community Crime Control Program Assistant. This position will assist with the oversight and management of the Juvenile Community Crime Control Program; implementing the Alternative Community Sentencing Program for at risk youth as received in the Court Service Unit.

Applicants shall possess excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational skills with attention to detail.
